At the Verden Auction Online in April, the show jumper Carla Mia achieved the top price of 55,000 euros. Of the horses on offer, 36 were sold digitally to Germany and 26 to a total of 11 countries. Bidders from the USA acquired the most horses with six purchases.

New customers from Republic of China secured the top price of the auction: the bay show jumping mare Carla Mia by Carridam/Perigueux (breeder: Uwe Brennenstuhl from Lüchow, exhibitor: Peter Baust from Hespe). Both during the one-week bidding period on the internet and during the eleven-day trial in Verden, interest in the rideable and always powerfully jumping Hanoverian premium contender became apparent. Her show record was already filled with victories and placings in novice (A), elementary (L) and medium (M) level tests for young show jumpers. Carla Mia will travel to China together with two other show jumpers. The most expensive dressage horse will move into his stall in France: Dana by Da Costa/Royal Blend cost 37,500 euros. The impressive dark chestnut mare with strong movements, bred by ZG Meyer from Wingst, was considered an insider tip of the collection and continued to develop from the selection date to the photo and video date to the auction, impressing customers not only with her great movements but also with her high rideability.

On average, 18,685.48 euros had to be invested for one of the riding horses. 12 horses were knocked down for 25,000 euros and more, another 26 achieved prices of 15,000 euros and better. 26 auction horses will advertise Hanover all over the world. The USA appears six times in the sales statistics, followed by France with five and the Republic of China and Spain with three purchases each. 

The top price at the second Verden Auction of 2024 was achieved by an show jumping horse. The highly talented mare Napoli-Tana found a new owner in Sweden for 50,500 Euros. Mares were in demand, the most expensive dressage horse, Grand Galaxy Cordey, is a Hannoveraner premium candidate/Vet+. She was auctioned off for 39,500 Euros.

At the start of the year's riding horse auctions, it was a show jumping horse that attracted the most interest. Napoli-Tana by Nixon van het Meulenhof/Quidam de Revel (breeder: ZG Wecke, Vlotho, exhibitor: Marco Bergmeyer, Hiddenhausen), who has already been successful in tests for young show jumpers, is a half-sister of the privately owned stallion Toys by Toulon, who was successful up to 1.55 metres with Germany’s Tobias Meyer. A customer from Sweden invested 50,500 Euros and thus secured a highly talented, colourful chestnut mare to start riding immediately.

39,500 Euros was the final bid for Hann.Pr.A./Vet + Grand Galaxy Cordey by Grand Galaxy Win/Fürstenball (breeder and exhibitor: Zuchthof Neumann-Ullrich, Boischampré/FRA). The athletic and elegant brown comes from the dam line of Sabafiza, which is none other than the dam line of the horse of the century, Isabell Werth’s Olympic Champion Gigolo FRH. She was born in Normandy, where her breeders have been passionately breeding Hannoveraner for many years.

The statistics show an average price of 15,912 Euros for the 57 auction horses. 21 of them will leave Germany. There were buyers from France (five), Sweden (four), Great Britain (three), the USA and Switzerland (two each) as well as Turkey, Italy, Spain, Austria and the United Arab Emirates.

The quality of the hores of the show jumping stallion licensing in Verden was not seen a long time. Nine premiums were awarded for the outstanding talents. A total of 27 of the 44 young stallions received a positive result. The stallion sales was eagerly awaited. An Aganix du Seigneur son, which the Celle State Stud purchased at auction for 175,000 Euros, jumped to the top of the price statistics. The quality was honoured with an average price of 49,916 Euros for the 24 licensed stallions up for sale.

"Even the stallion preselection gave us hope for the licensing days. The good impression was confirmed on the first day during the warm-up free jumping and also on the final day. Modern, athletic and cleverly jumping stallions characterised the collection," said breeding director Ulrich Hahne. The Celle State Stud was in a buying mood, securing a total of three highly talented show jumping stallions. The first in the top trio was a bay by Aganix du Seigneur Z/Eldorado van de Zeshoek (breeder: Antonius Schulze-Averdiek, Rosendahl, exhibitor: Schulze-Averdiek Sportpferde und Aufzucht GbR, Rosendahl), who opened the stallion sales. The third dam of the stallion is also the dam of Marcus Ehning's world-class horse Cornado NRW. He was sold at 175,000 Euros. The auction continued with a very modern grey stallion by Cornet's Pleasure VDL/Vagabond de la Pomme (breeder and exhibitor: Zuchthof Dree Boeken KG, Heidesee). He not only impressed over the jump, but also has three successful generations of international show jumping on his dam's side. He cost 108,000 Euros. The last stallion for the state stud was an athletic bay by Taloubet Z/Chacco-Blue (breeder: Johannes zur Lage, Bersenbrück, exhibitor: Simone Kottwitz, Bippen), who impressed with his power and dynamism. He changed hands for 165,000 Euros in co-operation with a long term Kanadian partner of the State Stud Celle.

A regular customer from the Czech Republic secured a typey Chacoon Blue/Vagabond de la Pomme son (breeder: ZG Bormann, Harsum, exhibitor: Franz Bormann jun., Harsum) for 72,000 Euro. An Aganix du Seigneur Z/Acorado son (breeder and exhibitor: Frank Johannsen, Buxtehude), who comes from the dam line of Lars Nieberg's team Olympic champion Esprit FRH, ended up in sporty hands. 40,000 Euros had to be invested in the bay stallion. His full brother was sold to Beerbaum Stables in Verden last year. A very special offer from one of the world's best lines for eventing horses was a Grey Top/Heraldik xx son (breeder and exhibitor: Prof. Dr Volker Steinkraus, Ollsen). A buyer from Belgium had the longest breath and bought the beautifully shaped and elastic jumping grey for 44,000 Euro.

The winning bid of 78,000 Euro for a For Planet/Stakkato Gold son (breeder: Ion Magerusan, Menslage, exhibitor: Gestüt Sprehe GmbH, Löningen) went to Lower Saxony. The last premium stallion up for sale was a Cornet's Edition/Chin Quin son (breeder: Holger Baum, Hofheim, exhibitor: Hermann Capell, Rheinberg), who was worth  46,000 Euro to a Belgian stallion owner. Another stallion received a premium, but was not for sale: The Colman/Check In son (breeder: Rüdiger Löer, Weste, exhibitor: Soc. Agr: Soc. Agr. Poggio Alla Malva 'il Groupo' ss, Malmantile/ITA) remains in Italian ownership. He was characterised by his ambition and athleticism at the licensing days.

Not only Celle secured one of the rough diamonds on the snowy Saturday in December. A Charthago Blue/Perigueux son (breeder and exhibitor: Christoph Eits, Wurster Nordseeküste) will be travelling to Moritzburg State Stud. A 2019-born Aganix du Seigneur/Chin Chin son (breeder and exhibitor: Gestüt Eichenhain GmbH, Varste) left the Niedersachsenhalle without a premium but with a price of 62,000 Euros, making him the first horse registered in Zangersheide to be auctioned in Verden following the liberalisation of the stallion licensing.

In total, exactly half of the licensed stallions (twelve) that were for sale will leave Germany. Hannoveraner customers from Belgium secured the largest contingent with four stallions, followed by Finland, France and the Czech Republic with two purchases each. The average price was 49,916 Euro. The most expensive unlicensed stallion was a three-year-old stallion by Casino Berlin/Silvio (breeder and exhibitor: Peter Mahler, Neuhaus/Oste), who was auctioned off to Bavaria for 25,000 Euro. The twelve unlicensed stallions cost an average of 15,917 Euro.

The Hannoveraner Show Jumping Masters started the licensing of the show jumping stallions. The premium stallions were presented in a show programme before the start of the stallion sales. The Hannoveraner Mare of the Year, Lady Gaga by Lord Pezi/Fly High (breeder and owner: Johannes zur Lage, Bersenbrück) and the Hannoveraner Stallion of the Year, Edward by Embassy/Fabriano (breeder: Hans-Heinrich Dittmer, Radbruch), also made their grand entrance.

Twelve bidders placed 59 bids, making Cornets Iberia the number one in the statistics of the Verden auction in November with a price of 42,000 Euros. The average price of the last riding horse auction of the year in the Niedersachsenhalle was 15,472 Euros.

Cornets Iberia is a horse to compete with straight away. The seven-year-old Cornets Iberio/Lord Sinclair daughter (breeder: Christine Blank, Düsseldorf) has already proven her ability in the 1.30 metre course. This is already the second auction appearance for the bay. Exactly two years ago, her exhibitor Katharina Köhlmoos, Jesteburg, achieved the promising mare in the Niedersachsenhalle. Cornets Iberia will now move into her stall at a renowned show jumping stable in Lower Saxony.

The most expensive dressage horse is making its way to the USA. The charming Mon Amour by Marc Cain/Dancier (breeder and exhibitor: Heinz-Georg Kück, Worpswede), born in 2019 and out of the dam line of Notera, was bought by a regular customer from Washington, D.C., for 28,000 Euros. Head number 1, the also three-year-old De Luxe G by Dante's Junior/Fürstenball (breeder and exhibitor: Falko Gerdes, Hipstedt), cost only 500 Euros less. The compact, talented bay already has placings in tests for young dressage horses to his name. He will find his way into the big dressage arena in Hessen.

There were 15 international bidders at the Online auction. Three auction horses come in French and Spanish ownership and two each in British and US-American.

The lot of the Verden Online Auction in November was completed by 15 stallions born in 2021. The shiny black Totilas/Don Index son Tiamo (breeder and exhibitor: Anke Troff, Leer), who goes back to the foundation mare Willkür, was the most sought-after two-and-a-half-year-old. At 19,000 Euros, the virtual knockdown to Mexico took place. 17,000 Euros had to be paid for Glamourous by Glamourdale/De Niro (breeder and exhibitor: Ulla Katzorke, Essen). Success is pre-programmed: Three half-siblings have reached advanced (S) level in the dressage arena and one half-brother has been licensed. The average price was 11.571 Euros.

From November 30 to December 2, it will be exciting once again in the Niedersachsenhalle. Then the licensing and stallion sales of young jumping stallions will take place. In addition, the Hannoveraner Show Jumping Masters for four to eight-year-olds will be held.

The ten best young stallions of the 2021 crop were awarded a premium at the Verden licensing of dressage stallions. Seven of them found a new owner at the stallion sales. The most expensive: a liver chestnut by Bon Courage, who was auctioned off for 170,000 Euros. A total of 30 of the 54 stallions were licensed for Hanover.

The Bon Courage/Rotspon son (breeder: Hans-Ludwig Dittmer, Rhadereistadt, exhibitor: ZG Dittmer, Rhadereistadt) presented himself at the highest level on all three licensing days. "We'll see him again in sport," was Heike Kemmer's comment on the liver chestnut, who will be trained at the Schulten-Baumer dressage stable.

A black stallion by Dancier Gold/Vivaldi (breeder: Michael and Claudia Roehrhoff, Mönchengladbach, exhibitor: Gestüt Sprehe GmbH, Löningen), in whose veins flows the blood of Isabell Werth's Olympic mare Weihegold, was sold for 150,000 Euros. After the liberalisation of the stallion licensing, he will go down in Hannoveraner history as the first Oldenburg horse to be licensed in the Niedersachsenhalle and awarded a premium.

A regular customer from Schleswig-Holstein won the bidding duel for an extremely strong-moving Le Formidable/Florencio son (breeder: Catharina Harten Denker, Beesten, exhibitor: Katharina Ehrengut, Bad Oldesloe) and can now call him her own for 135,000 Euros. A stallion owner from Emsland secured a Secret/Lord Loxley son (breeder and exhibitor: Johann von der Decken, Krummendeich) for 110,000 Euros. "Riding horses are made from these ingredients," said breeding director Ulrich Hahne, describing the large-framed brown. An eye-catching chestnut by Benicio/Valentino (breeder: Dr Michael Lühs, Wagenfeld, exhibitor: Gestüt Allerhop, Hambüren) will move into a box in France. The extremely likeable premium stallion opened the licensing with head number one. Another stallion station in the west of Lower Saxony is home to a powerful black stallion by Dancier Gold/San Amour (breeder: Martin Honigfort, Haselünne, exhibitor: Heinrich Gießelmann, Barver), for whom the auction hammer fell at 55,000 Euros. The last premium stallion up for sale was worth 40,000 Euros to a loyal customer from Bavaria: a liver chestnut from the first crop of the Celle state stud stallion Von Und Zu, who has a Santino dam (breeder: Heiko Feldhus, Grethem, exhibitor: IB Berger, Sulzbach-Rosenberg). Like the premium stallion by Le Formidable, he once enriched the lot at the Verden Foal Auction.

Three premium stallions were not for sale. A Bon Courage/Ehrenpreis son (breeder: ZG Lenzen, Heinsberg, exhibitor: Theo Lenzen, Nettetal) from the direct dam line of the Warendorf state stud stallion Ehrentusch will follow in the footsteps of his granddam's brother and move into the North Rhine-Westphalian state stud. A Totilas/Sezuan son (breeder: Moormann-Hanke GbR, Wettrup, exhibitor: BG Klausing and Bluefields Warmblood Stud, Diepholz). The Schult stallion station presented a strong moving Valdiviani/Sir Donnerhall son (breeder: ZG Wencek, Sonsbeck), who will be available to breeders in Hünxe next season under the name Vjento.

German state studs also secured excellent uncut diamonds. A Bon Vivaldi NRW/Royal Blend son (breeder and exhibitor: Wilhelm Kamps, Cuxhaven) went to Celle, who was sold for 50,000 Euro by the director of the state stud, Dr Axel Brockmann. The Marbach State Stud purchased a black stallion by So Unique/Totilas (breeder and exhibitor: Willem Klausing GbR, Diepholz) for 30,000 Euros, while the Moritzburg State Stud spent 106,000 Euros on a Totilas/Sir Donnerhall son (breeder: Thorsten Hogrefe, Stöcken, exhibitor: BG Enning und Laufhütte, Düsseldorf).

A Dynamic Dream/Lord Loxley son (breeder: Andreas Ingenbleek, Kevelaer, exhibitor: Elsbeth Schult, Hünxe) was sold for 100,000 Euros to supporting hands in Luxembourg. The unlicensed stallions also met with great interest. A buyer from Baden-Württemberg paid 50,000 Euros for a Dynamik Dream/Don Nobless son (bred by Johannes zur Lage, Bersenbrück, exhibitor: Gennadii Sydorenko, Kiev/Ukraine).

The statistics show an average price of 70,542 Euros for 24 licensed stallions. Several highly successful international dressage trainers secured young talents for the big dressage arena. An average of 23,024 Euros was paid for 21 unlicensed stallions.

The stallion sales opened with a show programme packed with hippological highlights. In addition to the presentation of the premium stallions, an entire bloodline took centre stage. Bolero by Black Sky xx/Bleep xx, born in 1975, has characterised Hannover's dressage horse breeding for almost half a century. His genes are still in demand today through his heirs such as the stallions Bon Courage, Bon Amour and Bonhoeffer. Bolero's breeder Heinrich Behrmann, Stedebergen, was honoured to the applause of the audience. It was fitting that the breeder of this year's Grande Prize winner, Bon Coeur by Benetton Dream/Sandro Hit, also received her certificate. The circle was completed with the Benicio/Desperados son Beck's (breeder: Christian Thelker, Venne). The bronze medallist at the World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses was awarded the FRH name affix of the Hanoverian Sponsorship Association, as was the Hannoveraner Champion of five-year-old dressage horses, Shakeela by Secret/Royal Blend (breeder: Wilfried Putz, Wiesentheid). The Fritz von der Decken Prize is awarded to the most successful stallion breeder of the past evaluation period. It went to Dr Kerstin Klieber and Stefan Sandbrink. In their honour, the privately owned stallion Federer by Farrrell/Livaldon (breeder: Wienke Winkelmann, Wurster Nordseeküste), who entered the Verden stallion park three years ago, danced through the Niedersachsenhalle.

It goes without saying that breeding and sport go hand in hand in Verden. The FRH Cup for seven to nine-year-old dressage horses celebrated a successful premiere. After the presentation of the young stallions on the triangular track, the Niedersachsenhalle was well filled and provided a great backdrop for this premiere! The DSP gelding Diamante Negro by DeLorean/Fürst Romancier won with Juliane Brunkhorst (76.179 percent). Second place went to ZINQ First Vienna FH FRH by Vitalis/First Dance (breeder: Beekenhof GmbH & Co KG, Bommelsen) and Lucie-Anouk Baumgürtel (73.455 percent). The small final had already been held in the morning. Here, the Escolar/Rohdiamant son Escamillo (breeder: Dr Carolin Langhorst, Ratingen), masterfully ridden by Manuel Dominguez Bernal, showed his quality and won with 75.040 percent.

The 140th Elite Auction of the Hanoverian Verband turned into an elite festival. Heralded by a show programme that was as exciting as it was atmospheric, head number 1, Semenyo N, was celebrated as the top price and was sold for 140,000 Euros. An average of 31,887 Euros had to be paid for one of the 62 young talents.

Named after a British Premier League football player, the Secret/Belissimo M son Semenyo N (breeder: Bernd Nöthen, Bergheim, exhibitor: Phil Nöthen, Cologne) convinced with top basic gaits, exquisite rideability and his excellent attitude to work. His success is no coincidence: His dam Belinja was successful in the dressage arena up to medium (M**) level with breeder Bernd Nöthen, her full brother Balesteros collected ribbons at Grand Prix level.

Only a short time later Capture by Comilfo Plus Z/Stakkato (breeder and exhibitor: Hendrik Schäfer, Köchingen) entered the Niedersachsenhalle and left it as the most expensive show jumper. For 102,000 Euros he will advertise Hannover's show jumpers in the USA. The powerful chestnut gelding is already the fourth offspring of St.Pr.St. Sensation II, who brought his breeder an above-average sales price in Verden. And he will probably follow his siblings in sport as well, three of them have already achieved top international results.

Six other horses cracked the 50,000 Euro mark: three excellent show jumpers and three no less highly talented dressage horses. For 77,000 Euros, the Ogano Sitte/Cornet Obolensky son Oki Doki (breeder: Wilhelm Gößling, Börger, exhibitor: Antonius Schulze-Averdiek, Rosendhahl) will move into a box in a renowned show jumping stable in the Oldenburg Münsterland. In Austria, Dia Carrica by Diacontinus/Carrico (breeder: Dirk and Lars Eggers GbR, Hamburg, exhibitor: Eitenmüller GbR, Mossautal) will find a new home for 55,500 Euros. Contigo De by Chacoon Blue/Spartacus (breeder and exhibitor: Johann von der Decken, Krummendeich) is going to Mexico. The auction hammer fell for the highly talented grey stallion at 60,000 Euros. 56.000 Euro was the price for the Farrell/Scolari son Feliz Contigo (breeder: Stefan Blanken, Hepstedt, exhibitor: Lena Thoenies, Hanstedt). Quick Sweety by Quantensprung/Fider's Welt (breeder and owner: Michael Schenk, Römstedt) was sold to Italy for 54,000 Euros. A dressage rider from France bought Daytona C by Da Costa/Lord Loxley (breeder: Isabel and Jörg Clasen, Hiddestorf, exhibitor: Hof Clasen GbR, Hiddestorf), who had already placed highly in tests for young riding and dressage horses, for 50,000 Euros.

More than half of the collection is expected to leave Germany. In addition to 28 German buyers, customers from all over the world, from Canada to Argentina and Guatemala, from Finland to Romania purchased horses. The largest contingent was secured by Hannoveraner friends from the USA (7) as well as France and Switzerland (four each).

The last foal collection of 2023 also enjoyed great popularity. A renowned stallion raiser paid 21,000 Euros for the Vitalis/San Remo son Vabelhaft (breeder and exhibitor: Klaus Niemann, Petershagen). The average price of the 22-strong collection was 9,477 Euros.

The Elite Festival opened with a spectacular show programme. Bundeschampions, Hannoveraner Champions and the winner of the German Dressage Derby did the honours. On this occasion, Booze Buddy by Balou Peggio/Valentino (breeder: Heinrich Reisinger, Gersten), Bundeschampion of five-year-old eventing horses with Wiebke Jaspers, Diacondiva by Diacontinus/Sunlight xx (breeder: Johannes Hilmer, Rullstorf), Hannoveraner Champion of five-year old eventing horses with Ann-Catrin Bierlein, Manolo by Morricone/Donnerhall (breeder: Stritzke und Schellin, Hamburg) Hannoveraner Champion of six-year old dressage horses with Anna Mitter, the complete podium of the Bundeschampionat of six-year old dressage horses, Blue by Buckingham/Locksley II (breeder: Andrea Bentes, Boitzenhagen) with Tessa Frank, St. Felice by St. Schufro/Fürstenball (breeder: Patrick Seefeld, Neustadt) with Marcus Hermes and Boulevard by Belantis/Sir Donnerhall (breeder: Sven Graefe, Heiligenberg). Sven Graefe, Heiligengrabe) with Jacob Schenk, and Derby winner Don Carismo by Don Crusador/Carismo (breeder: Jürgen Hake, Wagenfeld), who was masterfully ridden by Andrea Timpe, were awarded the suffix FRH of the Hannoveraner support association. Traditionally, the Hans Joachim Köhler Prize is awarded in autumn for the most successful auction exhibitor of the past valuation period. This prestigious prize went to Henning Schulze, Tiddische. In the current collection he had sent two rough diamonds to Verden.

At 9:21 pm it was clear: Viva Deichliebe leads the price statistics of the Verden Auction Online – Foals and broodmares with the price of 17,000 Euros. On average, about 6,300 Euros had to be invested for the 47 representatives of the year 2023 at the season's end of the foal auctions of the Hannoveraner Verband.

After 20 minutes with numerous online bids, a customer from the Munich area had the last bid of 17,000 Euros for the Vivaldos/Diamond Hit daughter Viva Deichliebe (breeder and exhibitor: Jochen Meyer, Allwörden). The dark bay dancer has a great dressage career in her cradle. Her dam Deichliebe is a full sister of Deichgraf, who was discovered by dressage rider Stefan Aschenbroich at the Verden Elite Auction and celebrated his first placings in Prix St. George this summer. And the five-year older St.Pr.A. Die kleine Deichliebe is competing at S* level in the dressage arena.

Two foals with a jumping pedigree cost 10,000 Euros. One week after the Zinedine son Zineday became European Vice Champion with Germany’s Philipp Weishaupt, Zintendro by Zinedine/Contendro (breeder and exhibitor: Helga Christofori, Schwalmtal) found a new owner in Bavaria. Before that, the Conthargos/Chacco-Blue son Candor M (breeder and exhibitor: Marion Menck, Rübehorst) was also sold to Bavaria for 10,000 Euros.

Top sport and foal auction at the CSI Hof Waterkant went hand in hand on the evening of August 5. The joint auction of Hannoveraner Verband and Holstein Verband of exquisite foals and gestations kept its promise. Top prices in an atmospheric setting in the evening program of the international show jumping event organized by Christoph Zimmermann and Janne-Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann. Six special foals and four gestations were contributed by Hannoveraner breeders.

The Hannoveraner top price with catalog number 3 was sold for 33,000 Euros to Canada. The filly Die hat Fun by Dia Corrado/Darco (breeder and exhibitor: Jan Crome-Sperling, Lutter) is directly related to the unforgotten Fit for Fun, Luciana Diniz's Olympic horse. The six foals generated total sales of 134,000 Euros, with an average of 22,333 Euros.

The highest price of the day was achieved by catalog number 4 by Cornet Obolensky/Cassini I (breeder and exhibitor: Hartwig Schoof, Hedwigenkoog) from the Holstein contingent at  50,000 Euros.

The four gestations fetched an average of 17,625 Euros. Here, Gestüt Eichenhain from Blender with catalog number 18 by Chacco-Blue/Aganix du Seigneur Z achieved the top price at  27,500 Euros, the expected foal was sold to an internationally highly successful show jumping stable from Lower Saxony.

The 49th Elite Foal and Broodmare Auction took a brisk course. Embedded in the Verden Championships, Hannover's youngest met with great interest. The favourite of the 105 foals at the OnLive Auction in the Niedersachsenhalle was Bombastic, who will start his journey to Spain for 34,000 Euros. An average of 9,919 Euros was paid for the 105 foals.
 
A regular customer from Spain, who has already secured many elite foals in Verden and brought them to the big sport, bought three price tops at once. Already the head number 1, Dynamic M by Dynamic Dream/Fürst Romancier (breeder and exhibitor: Marion Menck, Rübehorst), will travel to the Iberian Peninsula for 32,000 Euros. Just like the head number 2, the Bon Courage/Dancier son Bombastic (breeder and exhibitor: Hermann Havemeyer, Schwanewede), who will travel to the south of Europe for 34,000 Euros. Third in the group is Velvet Touch by V-Plus/Sandro Hit (breeder and exhibitor: Ulrich Heitmann, Hagenah), who was sold by the same bidder for 30,000 Euros.

The Casallco/Escudo son Casper FG (breeder and exhibitor: Felix Geffken, Lilienthal) has the best jumping genes. The half-brother of Philipp Weißhaupt's world class jumper Coby was auctioned off to a Belgian stallion raiser for 19,000 Euros.

In addition to renowned stallion rearers from Germany and abroad, Hannoveraner  customers from all over Germany and worldwide purchased foals. Two foals will start their journey to Argentina. Denmark bought seven times, while six foals will travel to Belgium and Great Britain and five to France.

When the final Bid Up of the Verden Auction Online in July started, numerous interested parties worldwide sat at their computers in time and honoured the quality of the 50-strong auction lot with an average price of 17,540 Euros. Intensive bidding led to nine horses being in the bidding at the same time. The top priced horse was Sinfonie, for which the last bid was placed at 65,000 Euros.

It took almost an hour before it was clear that the three-year-old Sinfonie (breeder and exhibitor: ZG Dittmer, Rhadereistedt) would leave Lower Saxony for France for 65,000 Euros. Behind Secret and Sarkozy, the two sire legends Donnerhall and Bolero can be found in the melodious pedigree. Already four full siblings of the black mare, who was awarded the Vet+ mare premium for her health status, have found a new owner at an auction in Verden.

With Dynamite by Diamant de Plaisir/Cornet Obolensky (breeder and exhibitor: Hendrik Schäfer, Köchingen), another top show jumper bred by the Schäfer family from Köchingen leaves the Verden auction as the top priced horse of the show jumper cadre. The Hannoveraner premium candidate, also awarded Vet+ health premium, already has a foal and will promote Hannoveraner sport horses in a renowned Dutch sport stable. 

In total, the auction lot was filled with 23 mares that had been awarded the premium title Vet+ for their health status. The statistics are impressive: Seven horses cost 25,000 Euros and more. 18 times, buyers from abroad had the most staying power. Besides France (five), Italy, Spain and Austria (two each), a young talent will make the journey to Mexico.

To make a marketing offer to every foal seen - this idea led to the expansion of the foal online auction offer of the Hannoveraner Verband. The result was the foal auction Breeder's Offer, which took place in addition to the usual online foal auctions with the photo and video material of the regular selection dates. The initiative of the AAZ and the marketing committee of the Hannoveraner Verband to provide further support in foal marketing - completely independent of the results of the selections for the foal auctions.

56 breeders registered their jumping or dressage foals for the auction, slightly more than 60 percent of the foals offered found a new owner. The average price of 4,730 Euros was paid. One foal bred for dressage and one for jumping stood out in terms of price. Right at the opening of the collection, the Eastwood/Apache daughter Elaine (breeder and exhibitor: Gesa Eisele, Kattendorf) aroused the greatest desire. After 57 bids, the virtual knockdown was made at 28,000 Euros to a Swedish dressage stable. A buyer from Hesse paid 13,000 Euros for the most expensive jumping foal, Dorfjunge by Diarado/Stakkato (breeder and exhibitor: Svenja Lehmann, Bad Münder), whose dam Shalimar was awarded two stars in the Hannoveraner Jumping Breeding Programme due to her sporting success.

The colt Symphatico was at the top of buyers' favourites. With a knockdown price of 26,000 Euros, he led the price statistics of the fifth online auction of the Verden Foal Spring. On average, the 35 foals of the online auction cost 7,685.71 Euros. 

47 bids were placed on the Segantini/Don Martillo son Symphatico (breeder: Frank Grobe, Wendeburg, exhibitor: ZG Grobe, Wendeburg) before the virtual knockdown was made at 26,000 Euros. A new customer from Hamburg is the happy new owner of this son of a Bundeschampion. The performance is also secured via the dam's side, as dam's sire Don Martillo was not only Bundeschampion, but was celebrated as World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses in 2017. Six minutes later, Bonds Black by Bonds/Fürst Romancier (breeder and exhibitor: Hubertus Poll, Gilten) was sold for 22,000 Euros. The expressive black stallion is already the second foal of the 2018 born double champion mare Hann.Pr.A. Fashion Week, who found a new via a Verden foal auction.

The lot of jumping-bred foals closed with the colt Duktus, who advanced to the highest paid foal in this section. At 11,500 Euros, the Duplexx/Nobre xx offspring (breeder and exhibitor: ZG Hahne, Intschede and Werder) with a clear disposition for eventing outdid the previous foals and was sold to an eventing stable from Great Britain.

The Fourth Online Auction of the Verden Foal Spring was an Eldorado for dressage lovers. 27 powerful moving foals with the very best dressage genes achieved an average price of 9,388 Euros. The black Tonja B danced to the top price of 30,000 Euros.

Even before the final bid up of the online auction, it was clear that the Total Hope/Finest Selection daughter Tonja B (breeder and exhibitor: Friedrich Busch, Emden) would achieve the top price. Eight bidders were interested in the filly from the Theresia line, who has the highest quality of movement. The black beauty was accepted and filmed at the decentralized foal selection tour of the Hannoveraner Verband in Timmel (East Frisia). The virtual knockdown was at 30,000 euros to southern Germany.

Two other black foals were highly favored by the buyers. The very first foal in the top-class collection, Starlight BT by Secret/Millennium (breeder and exhibitor: Bärbel Tretau, Steinburg), found a new owner in Spain for 20,500 Euros. Delight by Despacito/Secret (breeder and exhibitor: Jürgen Schult, Osterbruch) was virtually knocked down at 19,000 Euros. But Hannover's chestnuts were also at the top of the price scale: Viva la Nuvola by Viva Gold/Fürst Nymphenburg (breeder and exhibitor: Jacqueline Handt, Friedland) sold for 17,500 Euros to France, while the Shu Fu/Quaterback daughter Scarlett (breeder and exhibitor: Ulrike Hiestermann, Faßberg) made 17,000 Euros for her breeder.

It was the third to last online auction of the Verden Foal Spring, the outstanding online auctions end June 22 and July 6.

After the successful start a fortnight ago, the second online auction of the Verden Foal Spring ended with a moderate result. Customers from Germany and abroad had to pay an average of 7,060 Euros for the 21 foals.  

Three foals achieved prices over 10,000 Euros. A renowned rearer and discoverer of numerous top talents bought the Dynamic Dream/Brenetton Dream daughter Double Dream (breeder and exhibitor: Jacqueline Tenambergen, Mettingen) for 11,000 Euros. Franco's Poldi by Franco Nero/Lord Leopold (breeder and exhibitor: Stefan Hermann, Northeim) and the St. Atheltique/Don Nobless daughter Sweet Dream (breeder and exhibitor: Ulrich Heitmann, Hagenah) found a new owner for 10,000 Euros. The most expensive jumping foal, Comme Ci Comme Ca by Comme il faut NRW/Baloubet du Rouet (breeder and exhibitor: Hof Brüning GbR, Ochtmannien), was purchased by a customer from Argentina, who can call the bay mare his own for 9,000 Euros.

With number one, the Damsey FRH/Deveraux son Deetlef (breeder: Hans-Henning von der Decken, Stade) kicked off this year's foal auctions. For 23,000€ and against another ten bidders, a dressage trainer from North Rhine-Westphalia came out on top. The 2023 crop attracted attention with 33 foals and achieved an average price of 7,871€.

The best-paid jumping foal was Carnegia by Chacoon Blue/Balou du Rouet from the breeder Gerd Janssen, Neuschoo. The filly, whose full brother Carnegie is the obvious namesake, fetched 15,000€. In recent years, other full siblings also found a way into promoting hands via the Niedersachsenhalle arena.

Five foals achieved a hammer price in the five-digit range. One third of the foals will most likely leave Germany.

> Results Verden Auction - Sporthorses

At the Verden Auction Online in April, Salt Lake City achieved the top price of 82,000 Euros. On average, the 54 young talents were worth 20,740 Euros to their new owners.

With already summery temperatures, the collection of the Verden Auction Online entered the hot phase: the bid-up. An international bidding duel flared up for number 7, the Secret/Sandro Hit son Salt Lake City, from whose dam line a top price was also achieved at the last Elite Auction "Sound of Music". Salt Lake City (breeder: Leon Karsten, Neustadt) thus returned to the Verden auction site, where he changed hands to Johann von der Decken at the 2021 Elite Auction.  Mexico prevailed among the international bidders, who also secured the Benicio/Le Primeur son Brilliant (breeder: Hermann Jürgen Rump, Gilten).

Desfaction by Diaron/Satisfaction I (breeder: Ingrid Wollner, Schöneck) had already emerged as one of the favorites in the jumping lot. The grey gelding was touted as a prime example of attitude, caution, energy and ability, and was worth 42,000 euros to a tournament stable in southern Germany.

Eleven of the top talents brought their exhibitors 25,000 euros and more. Just under half of the auction lot will advertise Hanoverians abroad. Five times customers from Finland placed the last bid, three times both buyers from Spain and France won the bidding duels.

Those interested in young talents from the current foal crop will have the chance to secure their future hope among a selection of 24 dressage and nine future show jumpers next Thursday.

With a week's delay, the talented young sport horses at the Verden auction in January have found new owners. The auction in the Niedersachsenhalle was preceded last Saturday by a system error in the online auction. The customers took it calmly and honoured the quality of the collection with the average price of 20,317 Euros.

Where the online bids had left off last Saturday, the bidders in the Niedersachsenhalle and on the customer advisors' telephones continued seamlessly. Erna Emilia by Emilio Sanchez/Dancier (breeder and exhibitor: Carsten Nancken, Loxstedt) entered the Niedersachsenhalle with a blue and gold parade blanket. A French top dressage rider bought the expressive movement talent for 38,000 Euros.

The highest bid at the Verden auction in January was for the Diacontinus/Carry Gold daughter Deltina (breeder: Heinrich and Arne Clüver, Völkersen, exhibitor: Gestüt Eichenhain GmbH, Varste). Auctioneer Bernd Hickert accepted the final bid at 50,000 Euros.

63 top-class young horses were part of the Verden auction in January, which ended satisfactorily with an average price of 20,317 Euros. 27 quality youngsters will leave Germany. France was particularly keen to buy with eleven knockdowns, followed by Canada (four) as well as Finland and Switzerland (two each). These results were preceded by an error in the online auction system, which became apparent at the beginning of the bid-up on the original auction day and led to a system failure. Eventually, the Verden auction was rescheduled by one week and held as a live auction in the Niedersachsenhalle instead of an online auction. "With all the excitement and surprise, it was enormously important not only to go into error analysis, but first of all to realise an orderly auction," sums up Managing Director and Auction Manager Wilken Treu. "The extension of the auction time was an additional challenge. I am all the more grateful for the perseverance of the customers and exhibitors. The same goes for the professionalism of the auction team, which adjusted to the live auction procedure swiftly in terms of thought and practice."
